House Address: Cae Lleci, Llanfachreth, Dolgellau, Gwynedd, LL40 2EH.
Once you reach the town of Dolgellau go through the centre and head through the square past the Tourist offices on your left. You will go over a bridge and reach a T junction.
Turn right and go past Pugh’s garage on your right. You will then pass the Spar supermarket (this is the last stop for food, milk etc before you reach the house) on the right and immediately afterwards take the turning on the left up a steep hill. This is the road to Llanfachreth and you will travel about 3 miles past the famous ‘Precipice Walk’ with a car park on your left (This is a great walk and takes about 30 minutes).
When you reach the village just past the sign ‘Llanfachreth’ keep to the right. If you look to your right you will see 2 white llamas! Continue through the village and go past the school on your left at the end of the village.
You will then travel about ½ mile and go past an old barn on your right and then a small single storey cottage on the right. Immediately past this you will see a gate on your left. (If you reach a stone arch you have gone too far). Turn left and go through the gate and after 100 yards you will pass an old farm on the left with a bungalow and there is a modern house on the right.
Continue until you reach a sharp bend to the left and there should be a sign for Cae Lleci and Gorse Y Garnedd pointing to the left.
After 100 yards you will go through a road gate and after another 300 yards you will reach a house on your left. Go past this house and up a small hill and go through the next road gate. Once through look to your left and that is Cae Lleci. Continue 50 yards go past the cowshed and turn left onto the grass track to the house.
Please remember to close all gates as you go through them, especially the house gate otherwise you will be chasing sheep out of the garden!
Relax, put your feet up and enjoy your holiday!
